Anthony David Gonzalez is a former American football tight-end who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. Regarded as one of the top tight ends ever and the all-time NFL leader in receiving yards as well as receptions from a tight end and is ranked third in overall receptions
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst. Gonzalez was a guest as a guest on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's hour-long NFL pregame program preceding FOX NFL SUNSET) and is broadcast every Sunday at 11:00AM ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez resigned with the Falcons on March 15, 2013 for a contract worth $14 million over two years. This was in spite of his claims that he was retiring at the end of the season. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012 and Gonzalez (37 years old) spent last season as one of the NFL's top receivers.
